The Empowered training is rooted in yoga tradition, and applicable to asana and everyday life.

If you want to develop your yoga practice or become a teacher, in this training you will learn how to weave the wisdom of yoga through your life for more purpose and inner peace.

In this 12-week deeper studies yoga program, you will experience transformational yoga classes, workshops, and study sessions that are both live and pre-recorded. With this hybrid approach, you will study the physical, philosophical, and practical elements of yoga. All live sessions are recorded, so you can work at your own pace.

Power Yoga: Strength, Sweat, and Spirit by Leah Cullis is the main text and manual for all Empowered programs. 


In the Empowered training, you will will deepen and expand your yoga practice, clarify your intentions, fortify your physical foundation, and learn how to embody your yoga.

Hey there, I'm Leah.

I am a yoga teacher, holistic health coach, author of Power Yoga: Strength Sweat, and Spirit, and Founder of the Empowered Yoga School.

I synthesize ancient practices and principles of yoga and wellness, and make them accessible and relevant for life today. My classes are a blend of strength, surrender and celebration. I have been featured on the cover of Yoga Journal Magazine, and led Yoga at the White House from 2009 through 2016 as part of a presidential initiative encouraging health and movement children and families. I live in beautiful Austin, TX, and my greatest honor is being a mama.

Shelby is the owner and founder of BFREE YOGA Austin. She has over 15 years experience in the study and practice of yoga. Shelby is a nationally certified therapeutic massage and bodywork specialist and has worked in sports injury rehabilitation since 2003. Shelby teaches with humor and vulnerability and skillfully guides people through the practices of movement, breath, and self-inquiry that creates an experience for you to align your body, organize your mind, and open your heart.

Reggie is the Founder/Chief Serving Officer of Active Peace Yoga. Adopting a disciplined yoga has saved his life and he is committed to sharing these practices to help others. His wellness journey was born of curiosity and forged in adversity; and has become a lesson in surrender to the miracles that exist in commitment to personal peace and wellbeing as a foundation. Reggie's dharma sits at the intersection of bringing more peace and balance to activists, guiding the wellness community toward being more engaged, concerned citizens and enhancing the well-being of all. Empowered programs are Yoga Alliance certified and part of the Empowered Yoga School. Upon completion of the full 200-hour training, you will earn your Yoga Alliance certification. If you are already certified, you may earn continuing education credits.

In Empowered you will commit to your daily practices of yoga, meditation, reflection, and self-study.
